Fugro USA Land, Inc.

Our firm’s history dates back to 1946 when our predecessor, McClelland Engineers, formed in Houston, Texas. McClelland Engineers soon became an international leader and technological innovator in geotechnical consulting. At the same time, Fugro N.V., a geotechnical consulting firm based in The Netherlands, was quickly becoming a leader in specialized geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing. In January of 1987, the two companies merged to form Fugro-McClelland, Inc. The combined company, which later became known simply as Fugro, quickly became the recognized authority in geotechnical engineering and related sciences.

Fugro USA Land, Inc. represents one of the strongest geotechnical and materials engineering and testing resources in the industry. With a focus on major markets, we promote the advancement of geo-consulting specialties; geologic hazard and risk assessments; earthquake engineering; site characterization; coastal/nearshore services; laboratory testing; and foundation engineering.

With a staff of engineers, geologists, scientists, and technicians, Fugro works through a network of 32 offices and technical centers located along all three U.S. coasts and in major metropolitan areas. We streamline client access to technical and project management services for complex assignments throughout the Americas and abroad.
