Branch Scholarships
2026 ASCE Houston Branch Scholarships

The American Society of Civil Engineers Houston Branch, in conjunction with the International Women in Engineering Day Committee, has funded the 2026 ASCE Houston INWED Scholarship Fund and will be awarding scholarships to outstanding female students who will be pursuing an engineering or engineering tehnology degree in Fall 2026 either (1) at a college or university located within a county served by the Houston Branch or (2) with a permanent address within a county served by the Houston Branch. The Houston Branch serves a thirteen county area that includes Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Jackson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Waller, and Wharton counties.
The scholarships will be awarded based on overall merit, in recognition of personal student achievements, and with regard to financial responsibility. The number and value of each scholarship award will be determined upon receipt of the scholarship applications. The total number and dollar amount of Scholarship awards is determined each year by the ASCE Houston Branch, however the minimum amount of any award this year will be $1,000. The scholarship applications are to be received no later than 5 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 and will be awarded at the INWED Event on June 23, 2026.

The American Society of Civil Engineers Houston Branch has funded the 2026 ASCE Student Chapter Scholarship Fund and will be awarding scholarships to outstanding students from the local ASCE Houston Branch university student chapters (Prairie View A&M University, Rice University, Texas Southern University, University of Houston-Main Campus, University of Houston-Downtown and University of Texas at Tyler-Houston Engineering Center).
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of overall merit, in recognition of personal student achievements, involvement and achievements with the ASCE Student Chapter, and with regard to financial responsibility. The number and value of each scholarship will be determined upon receipt of the scholarship applications. The total number and dollar amount of Scholarship awards is determined each year by the ASCE Houston Branch, however the minimum amount of any award this year will be $1,000. The scholarship applications are to be received no later than 5 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026 and will be awarded at the April ASCE Houston Branch Meeting.

The American Society of Civil Engineers Houston Branch has funded the 2026 ASCE Houston Branch High School Fund and will be awarding scholarships to outstanding students with a permanent address within a county served by the Houston Branch who will be pursuing an engineering or STEM degree through an ABET-accredited program in Fall 2026.
The scholarships will be awarded based on overall merit, in recognition of personal student achievements, and financial responsibility. The number and value of each scholarship award will be determined upon receipt of the scholarship applications. The total number and dollar amount of Scholarship awards is determined each year by the ASCE Houston Branch, however the minimum amount of any award this year will be $500. The scholarship applications are to be received no later than 5 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026 and will be awarded at the April ASCE Houston Branch Meeting.

In addition to the overall ASCE Houston Branch scholarships, two of our institutes, the Houston Chapter of EWRI, and the Houston Chapter of SEI, are also planning on offering scholarships this year. Please note that each of these institute scholarships have slightly different eligibility requirements from the Houston Branch Scholarship.
EWRI Houston Chapter

The EWRI Houston Chapter has funded up to four (4) scholarships in the amount of $1,500. The 2026 EWRI Scholarship Application is now open and will be receiving submissions until 5 PM on March 13, 2026 - further details about eligibility and requirements are provided in the application.

SEI Houston Chapter

The SEI Houston Chapter has funded scholarships in the amount of $500. The 2026 SEI Scholarship Application is now open and will be receiving submissions until 5 PM on March 13, 2026 - further details about eligibility and requirements are provided in the application. Two scholarships will be awarded based on overall merit demonstrated in the application.

G-I Houston Chapter

The G-I Houston Chapter has funded scholarships in the amount of $1000. The 2026 G-I Scholarship Application is now open and will be receiving submissions until 5 PM on May 22, 2026 - further details about eligibility and requirements are provided in the application. Two scholarships will be awarded based on overall merit demonstrated in the application.
