2026-2027 President-Elect Candidate: Tim Smelcer, PE, ENV SP
Tim Smelcer, P.E. Tim has been working in Houston transportation infrastructure for over 12 years. With experience in passenger rail design, roadway design, and drainage design. Tim has worked on schematic design for the Texas High Speed Rail, North Houston Highway Improvement Project, State Highway 99 and Uptown Bus Rapid Transit.
He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and currently works as a Project Manager at HNTB. Tim has been serving the ASCE Houston branch for the past 11 years and is currently serving on the board as VP Administration. In his free time Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing golf, running with his dog, and watching college football.
