Joseph Milton Howe:  Outstanding Harris County Engineer and Texas Section ASCE Co-Founder

 

Dr. Jerry Rogers

Dr. Jerry Rogers has served ASCE as President of Houston Branch, Texas Section, ASCE National Board (1992-1995), National V.P. (2001-2003), and currently serves on the National ASCE History & Heritage Committee (HHC), National Civil Engineering Certification Board (CEC), and is a member of the EWRI- HHC. Dr. Rogers has been President of the Engineers Council of Houston and Chair of Houston Engineers Week. In 1989, Jerry was National President of the American Water Resources Association. Dr. Rogers major awards are: William Wisely American Civil Engineer Award, Houston Engineer of the Year, Texas Young Engineer of the Year, National Civil Engineering History Award, National Distinguished EWRI Service Award, ASCE Houston Branch and Texas Section Awards of Honors. Dr. Rogers has edited or co-edited ten ASCE History publications. In August 2013, Dr. Rogers retired from UH-CEE after 43 years.
