Younger Member's Report
Happy New Year,
Now that the holidays are over and we are all trying to get back into the daily grind, I wanted to pass along some information about younger member activities we have going on this month.
We had a great tour at the Rinker Materials plant on January 8th, and got to see what goes into the fabrication of their pre-cast concrete pipes and boxes. A big thank you to Ron Reichert for the tour and the presentation (as well as the delicious barbeque).
The Houston Branch will host the Central Region Younger Member Conference January 29th – 31st with representatives from the younger member chapters across 16 states from Ohio to New Mexico and North Dakota to Texas. The conference is a great opportunity to network with engineers from across the country, attend training sessions, and earn PDH’s. Registration is open through January 16th. We will have a social event later in the month, and a volunteer event in the next several weeks, so keep an eye out for email updates with details on those, or you can check the calendar page on the website as anything coming up will be posted there first.
