75th Anniversary Celebration: Take Me Out to the Ball Game
On Friday, July 13, 2018, the ASCE Houston Branch held its 75th Anniversary Celebration by attending the Houston Astros Game at Minute Maid Park. Our members and their guests were invited to attend the game and there approximately 70 people in attendance. Members purchased tickets for the game and the Houston Branch added $40 to each ticket so individuals could enjoy free food, beverage, and merchandise. In addition, the Houston Branch invited local ASCE student chapters (UH, PVAMU, and UT Tyler) to attend the game as complimentary guests.
The game was between the Houston Astros and the Detroit Tigers. The Houston Astros won by 3-0 (Go Astros)!!! After the game, there was a beautiful fireworks show sponsored by the World Disney World Company at Minute Maid Park.
Special thanks to Julia P. Clarke, P.E. (Vice President Administration) for organizing this event and to Patrick Beecher (Past President) for suggesting we celebrate our 75th Anniversary by going to the ball game.
