Hike and Bike Trails (The How & Why)

Hike and Bike Trails are becoming an integral part of Texas cities and provide some big benefits. But there are a variety of options and challenges to be considered during their planning and design. This presentation will go over all of these aspects as well as some success stories and lessons learned.
Natalie Weiershausen, PE, ENV SP works at RPS (formerly Klotz Associates) as a project manager in the municipal services department where she works on the design of anything from roadway /utility reconstruction to a variety of trails around Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a very active member in ASCE.
