Mr. Michael Moore - Vice Chairman of The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
Michael Moore, a native Houstonian, has served Houston and the youth of Texas through donating his time for over 21 years to the largest rodeo in the world, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a 501C3 charity. Michael is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo currently serving as a Vice Chairman and has worked in many of the leadership positions including Assistant Captain, Captain, Coordinator, Trainer, Team Leader and earned several awards for outstanding leadership and performance.
Michael and his wife Linda currently live in Northwest Houston have a blended family with 3 boys, (2 still in school) and 2 grandsons. An avid motorcycle rider, golfer and volunteer Michael is employed in the Information Technology sector and has been with DataSpan (formerly Media Recovery) for 21 years. Michael has received several performance awards and was the lead project manager participating with the GAO (Government Accountability Office) in information protection and the secure data destruction.
Early years included petrochemical and electro-mechanical design achievements with teams from TRW, Ingersoll-Rand, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq Computer, Software Channels and Medical Digital Imaging companies.
Throughout the years as a volunteer on the Speakers Committee Michael has emceed numerous events with 100’s of people and has a history donating time resources to charity events.
