Younger Member's Report

Happy November Everyone,

Fall is officially here as marked by the shorter days and pleasant change in temperature. October was an active month for the ASCE Younger Members and November promises to be festive.

On October 21st ASCE Younger Members came out to support the Young Professionals in Transportation at the 2^nd Annual Light Rail Pub Crawl. This year was successful once again with several dozen Young Professionals making their way from Axelrad to Proof and later Flying Saucer and The Pastry War via the Houston METRORail.

The Texas American Water Works Association (TAWWA), Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT), and ASCE partnered together for the Young Professionals Buffalo Bayou Cleanup on October 22^nd. A cheerful group turned out to do their part in restoring and protecting this wonderful community space. Keep an eye out for fun photos from the event and be sure to join us at the next cleanup.

Many of our Younger Members reached a professional milestone by taking the PE Exam recently. We wish them success in what lies ahead of them and send them congrats for making it this far. Many many more of our Youngers Members have a PE Exam in their future!

If that includes you, I invite you to join us at the December 8th PE Luncheon at Terracon.

The presentation will be given by George Hartman, Engineer for the Texas Board of Professional Engineers for over 13 years. The Luncheon will begin with a presentation over specifics of professional licensure application and conclude with a Q&A session.
