Younger Member's Report
Happy September Everyone,
Starting off with technical, our next activity will be on Thursday, September 29th, at 11:30, at the Terracon offices (11555 Clay Rd., Suite 100, Houston, TX 77043). Gretchen Davidson, P.E., Technical Products Manager for Hill Country Site Supply will be giving a presentation on Flexamat® followed by a short Q&A. Flexamat® is a rolled hard armor green alternative to rip-rap or articulated block. It is used in high flow or erodible areas such as drainage channels, detention basins, or overflow structures. Ms. Davidson has over 15 years of experience in the geosynthetic industry. If you have any specifics you would like her to briefly cover and/or have any questions about the event, please contact Mahsa Arastoo at [email protected]. As always, PDHs will be provided upon request. Lunch will be provided.

Secondly, for those of you who missed out last year, we had an incredible event with the Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT) with the Light Rail Pub Crawl and will be teaming up with them this year to make that happen again. The event will take place on October 21st at 6:00 p.m., location and final details will be sent out by the end of the month.
Last but not least, our next community outreach event will be the resume fair at the University of Houston from 10:00 am 1:00 pm. Please follow the link below for specific directions to the Engineering Building.
