Younger Member's Report
Happy August Everyone,
Hope everyone has enjoyed their month off from ASCE as we transition into the fall season.
Starting off with technical, our next activity will be on Tuesday, August 16th, at 11:30, at the Terracon offices (11555 Clay Rd., Suite 100, Houston, TX 77043). David Hasness, regional engineer at Pavestone, LLC for over 14 years, will be giving a presentation focusing on the Segmental Retaining Walls followed by a short Q&A session. David will also be touching on his permeable pavers product (that you may already be familiar with) as it pertains to Low Impact Development and how to utilize the product for underground detention storage. If you have any specifics you would like him to briefly cover and/or have any questions about the event, please contact Mahsa Arastoo at [email protected]. Lunch will be provided.

Secondly, for those of you who missed out last year, we had an incredible event with the Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT) with the Light Rail Pub Crawl and will be teaming up with them this year to make that happen again. The event will be the second to last week in October, so please be on the lookout for final details in the next month or so.
Last but not least, as we transition into the fall season, we will be welcoming a new slate of younger member officers for the 2016-2017 term. Below is your team of Younger Member officers (so far) for next year:
