Younger Member's Report

Posted by admin on 05/05/2016 12:00 am - Younger Member's Report

Happy May Everyone,

Summer is upon us and hopefully those of you who are planning vacations will still be able to make time for all of the events we have coming up!

Last month, we started out with a technical activity at the offices of Terracon Consultants on April 5, featuring Todd Rogers, a certified Autodesk instructor, who went over Building Information Modeling using the Infrastructure Design Suite. Below is a link to his YouTube channel for those of you who missed out on the presentation so you can get a sneak peek into what he has to offer.

Secondly, I want to thank everyone who made the drive and came out to the Hargrave High School Career Center & College Expo on the 7th of last month. Several volunteers have indicated that this is something that would greatly benefit them in the future, and the rest of the younger member committee and myself truly appreciate everyone’s willingness to give back.

For those of you who didn’t get the opportunity to sign up for the statewide camping trip, due to the inclement weather we received that week, the trip has been postponed to the weekend of September 9-11. Please feel to contact me directly if you interested in taking advantage of the rescheduled date, as there are a few spots still available due to some folks not being able to make it that weekend. Final details regarding the new time will be going out sometime next month.

Lastly, a final reminder regarding the top golf fundraiser was announced at the general meeting last month, and it’s not too late to sign up and create a team if you haven’t already done so. Should you have any questions regarding any final details, please feel free to contact either myself or William Saour at [email protected].

As always, feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concerns.

Regards

Austin Brauel, E.I.T., A.M.A.S.C.E.
