Brandon Ash – Secretary/Webmaster
Mahsa Arastoo – Technical Activities Chair
Sarah Alvarez – Sand Castle Committee Co-Chair
Alik McCoy – Sand Castle Committee Co-Chair
William Saour – Golf Tournament Committee Co-Chair
Seth Robinson – Golf Tournament Committee Co-Chair

We had a great year last year, and are looking to improve upon that this year with everything we currently have planned and will have planned by the beginning of January.

This past Saturday (09/26), the ASCE younger members teamed up with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) & the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) and participated in the Galveston Beach Clean-Up at Pocket Park 3. The event had a great turnout, and ASCE, along with the other two organizations, are proud to announce that over 5 pounds of trash was collected over the course of the two hour event. Special thanks to Ashley Francis for facilitating such a successful function. Special thanks to Alan Coleman as well for organizing the happy hour at Fox & Hound last month (09/17), which also had a terrific turnout.

This month on October 9th, we will be hosting a tour of Star Pipe Products, which will also be a joint event with our friends at (AWWA) & (WEAT). The event is open to all ASCE Houston members, however, there is only one spot remaining for those who still want to attend, so register now! The event will consist of a facilities tour, as well as a free lunch and presentation. As always, PDHs will be available upon request. Personal protective equipment will be available for those in need, but supplies are limited, and it is strongly recommended that you bring your own.

As always, feel free to contact me directly with any questions. We are looking forward to a great year.

Regards,

Austin Brauel, E.I.T., A.M.A.S.C.E.
