Bowling Night: Coming soon, date to be rescheduled. Del-Mar Lanes on Mangum Rd. This will be a joint event with the younger member groups for the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) and the American Water works Association (AWWA). The cost for this is $10 which includes bowling, shoes, food, and drinks (does not include grown-up drinks). The flyer for this is attached. Please RSVP to Adam Eaton if you plan to attend (see the attached flyer for his contact info).

Happy Hour/Social Night: Next Thursday (6/11) at Karbach Brewery (2032 Karbach Street). The first tour is at 6pm and is first come first serve, so if you want to make it out for that I would try to get there around 5:30pm. Karbach just opened their new restaurant and patio, and has expanded a lot in the past couple years. If you haven’t been, or haven’t been in a while the tour is pretty cool. Admission is $8 for a 9 oz glass and four drink tokens, or $12 for a 16 oz pint glass and 3 tokens. It’s also $1 off if you bring a canned good for the Houston Food Bank.

Cleaning Up the Bayou – Volunteer Event: Next Saturday morning at 8:30 am(6/13), check-in at 1803 Memorial Drive. After the recent flooding any help we can give to clean up the Bayou would go a long way. This will also be a joint event with WEAT and AWWA. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

15th Annual Houston Branch Golf Tournament - Regrettably the weather did not cooperate on the 12th, but a rescheduled date is being worked on and updates will follow once the details are confirmed. The good news is that there is still time to sign-up if you’re interested in coming out! All of the proceeds from this event go towards the ASCE Houston Branch’s scholarship fund so it’s a great cause too.
