Jeffrey K. A. Brown, Chief Infrastructure Officer for the Houston Airport System.
Mr. Brown is responsible for the planning, design, construction and asset management of all airport system’s physical infrastructure, to consistently provide world-class airport airside, terminal and landside facilities, developed and maintained to optimize sustainability and life-cycle costs.
He has more than 20 years of experience in aviation planning, design, construction and project management both in the civilian and military sectors.
Mr. Brown joined the Houston Airport System in August 2013 as the Assistant Director of the Project Management Office and was responsible for managing and reporting project progress with emphasis on scope, budget and schedule. In February 2014, Mr. Brown was promoted to the Chief Infrastructure Officer.
Prior to joining the Houston Airport System, Mr. Brown served as an Engineering Design Manager for the 451 Air Expeditionary Wing (USAF) in Kandahar, Afghanistan, Director of Engineering for KBR in Anbar Province, Iraq, Aviation Design and Construction Manager at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport, and served in various capacities at Las Vegas McCarran and JFK International airports.
Mr. Brown received a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of West Indies, Master’s from Columbia University (New York) and an MBA from the City University of New York (Baruch College), and is a licensed professional engineer in the States of New York and Georgia.
