"Arup Inspect: A Digitized Workflow for Offshore Inspection"

30 – 40% of an offshore inspectors’ time is in word processing at a laptop or desktop. To-date PDF reports have been the primary method of communicating inspection findings to clients. Maximizing ‘time on tools’ has the potential to unlock significant additional inspection time. Recently Arup began to collaborate with EnerMech, a leader in industrial rope access inspection to disrupt the inspection industry by digitizing the inspectors’ workflow. This presentation will use case studies to demonstrate Arup-EnerMech’s use of a variety of technologies, including 360o panoramic visualization for enhancing the inspection workflow, providing cost and time savings to clients, and reducing risk to the inspection personnel.
