Julia Clarke, P.E. 
2017 Young Engineer of the Year

ASCE Houston is pleased to honor Julia Clarke as this year's Young Engineer of the Year! Julia joined Fugro in February 2008 while earning a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. During her employment, she received her engineering license from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. Her current position as Senior Project Engineer, involves being a Lead Geotechnical Engineer on highway improvement projects on the Commercial and Infrastructure project team. 

While working, she published technical papers in American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) conference proceedings and the Applied Clay Science Journal of her research conducted at Purdue University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida in 2005 prior to attending Purdue University. 

Julia served as the 2014-2015 Geotechnical Sub-Committee Chair and the 2015-2016 Technical Program Chair for the ASCE Houston Branch. She currently serves as the Vice President Technical for the ASCE Houston Branch and corresponding member of the ASCE Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
