Andrea French joined TAG-Houston Region as Executive Director in January 2013.  In this role, Andrea directs advocacy, outreach and communication initiatives and advises TAG’s Board of Directors on strategic planning and operations. 

Andrea relocated to Texas in 2011 and was asked to lead Government Relations for the Greater Houston Partnership – the primary advocate for Houston’s business community. 

Prior to joining GHP, Andrea served as Public Affairs Manager for the City of Oklahoma City where she handled communications for Project 180: a $140 million redesign of downtown streets, sidewalks, parks and plazas. 

In 2009, Andrea was asked to join the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce as their MAPS3 Campaign Manager.  She managed campaign staff and coalition development to pass a one-cent sales tax for eight diverse economic development projects for Oklahoma City

Andrea is a 2004 alumnus of the University of Baltimore, where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Government & Public Policy. After completing two legislative sessions for the State of Maryland, Andrea was offered a position with the Mayor of Baltimore as her lead transportation liaison. In this role, Andrea handled budget, policy and legislative issues as it related to transportation needs for the City of Baltimore.
