Speaker #1: Mr. Brian Freilich, Ph.D., P.E., Hayward Baker

Topic: “Instrumentation Monitoring for the Geotechnical Construction World, A Cost-Effective Insurance Policy for Engineers

Speaker Bio: Brian Freilich is a Texas native and earned his B.S., M.S.E., and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.  Prior to joining Hayward Baker, Brian worked as a geotechnical consultant for projects throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.  As a Design Engineer for Hayward Baker, Brian’s responsibilities include developing and implementing state-of-the-practice analysis and design approaches for various geotechnical and ground improvement solutions.


 

Speaker #2: Mr. Shailendra Endley, Ph.D., P.E., Intertek PSI

Topic: “Performance of an Anchored Sheet-Pile Wall”

Speaker Bio: Dr. Endley has over 40 years of experience in the area of geotechnical engineering and currently serving as the Chief Engineer for southwest region. He has completed and managed hundreds of projects involving geotechnical investigation and construction materials testing for governmental, commercial, industrial and manufacturing agencies. Dr. Endley has designed a variety of foundation systems including footings, mats, piles and piers in soil and rock environment. Dr. Endley has managed numerous projects in Texas Gulf Coast area, middle-east, far-east and Africa. Dr. Endley has published over 30 technical papers and is recognized as an expert in the field.
